Coffe Cup Monday

Writing by admin on Monday, 30 of June , 2008 at 11:38 am

Something I’m going to start doing on Monday mornings to get us going is give some spurts of inspiration and what you can expect for the following week. This way you’ll know what’s coming and at the same time you can feel inspired before your Monday morning meeting.

Every Monday I will have a different image of a coffee cup. Why? Well, every morning we guzzle down cups of coffee just to wake up to face another day. Personally, I am down to two full cups of coffee everyday which I’ve cut down from 4.5 cups. Depending on the length of the day I might even have a few in the afternoon.

Coffee and USB PortsMoving on while searching for some different coffee cups I found this one. If you can’t tell the wires coming from beneath the coffee cup are USB ports connecting to your computer. I found it very interesting because I know a few people in the office who are big into gadgets (no matter how useless they might be) who will buy this the first chance they have. The description that goes with the image:

You’ve made the perfect cup of single serve coffee but get called away to chat at the office or have to put the dog out. You come back and you’ve got a super cold cup of coffee. Oucher. The USB Hotplate and Port Hub will fix the problem and extend your USB Ports - keeping your coffee hot and your computer peripherals powered.

Is this something you’d fine useful?

What to expect for the rest of this week (June 30th - July 4th):

  • A story of how exactly a coworker can put themselves in a position where quitting was the only option and the how coworkers can stab you in the back after declaring their friendship with you.
  • Tech Tuesday I will show you a new product that you might find useful in your everyday work.
  • 4th of July Celebration. That’s right the 4th of July is this week and hopefully you all will be celebrating by going to festivals, cook-outs, and just enjoying your friends and family. So, in observation of this years 4th of July I’ll have a dedication to companies that have done some wonderful things for employees during this holiday.

About Me

I'm just your typical cubical bee working 5 days a week from 8-5. starring endlessly into the abyss of my souless monitor hoping one day I will be sucked out of this Matrix or retire. Till then I might as well share some funny stories about my coworkers and more or less daily ramblings.

If you have a funny storie that you would like to share feel free to send them to me and I'll be more than happy to publish them.
